Hi, I’m Nicole.
I use this blog to keep track of my life, reflect on my feelings, and work toward becoming a healthier, stronger version of myself. It is a space where I can be honest and real, without any pressure to impress anyone.
My days mostly revolve around working, caring for my rescue dog Hope, and spending quiet time at home. I am also navigating the grief of losing my cat Myles, who was a part of my life for many years. Losing him made me realize how much I wish I had captured more of our everyday life together. The quiet routines, the small moments, and the gentle love we shared. This blog is a way to honor that feeling. It reminds me to slow down and be more present. I want to notice the little things, capture them while they are here, and give myself something real to remember.
I find comfort in quiet moments. I love photographing the creatures I meet on nature walks, tending a garden that supports pollinators, playing cozy games, and geeking out about fountain pens and native plants. I care deeply about animals, the environment, and living a vegan lifestyle. I am slowly trying to step out into the world more, even though anxiety sometimes makes that difficult. There is a quiet longing in me to explore and experience the world at my own pace.
This blog is not about big adventures or dramatic stories. It is about the small moments and honest feelings that shape who I am. Writing here helps me see how I grow, even when it feels slow. I hope to share some bigger adventures along the way too, through the lens of my camera and the stories I gather.
If you have found your way here, welcome. I hope these pages offer something real and relatable. Whether you are looking for quiet moments, honest thoughts, or simply someone navigating life one step at a time, I invite you to come back and see how things unfold. This is a place for growth, reflection, and small victories, and I would be glad to have you along for the journey.
I love you, Myles.
Fourteen years slipped by too quickly, far too soon. It is hard to outlive you, but your love remains a steady light that will guide me always.
